The houses in Dawson Place were built by William Radford or Francis Radford (or both of them) between 1851 and 1852. The leases were granted by the executors of Robert Hall. To the east of Pembridge Place they built Nos. 6-14 on the north side and Nos. 7-11 on the south side. West of Pembridge Place, they built Nos. 16-30 on the north and Nos. 13-29 odd on the south.
